Season opener at Angola this Saturday night, May 23rd.

Friday, the track is having an open practice from 5 til 8. Pit pass for Friday is $15.00. Fuel is available for $6.00 per gallon. Camping is also available at the track. Contact Craig for information. SUPERPRO tech officials will be present to get a jump start on doing some teching. You must re-tech Saturday before practicing. Inspection on Friday can be done at any time.

If not interested in camping, the Angola Ramada Inn is offering a discount rate for SUPERPRO competetors. Hotel is located at exit 154 off 1-69 on State Route 127 (Pokagon State Park exit). The hotel phone # is 260-665-9471.

Also, Sunday May 24th, Baer Field Speedway is having an open practice session from noon until six. This would be a good way to get ready for next week.

Saturday. There will be six classes, so it is advised you get there early to get a good pit spot and get in line for tech. Tech will last longer this week because of the items that need to be teched and sealed. Your cooperation will be appreciated.

Gates open at 1:00 (expect large car count, 6 classes)
Tech will start at 1:00
Practice (all classes) 3:00 (2 sessions only)
Qualifying (all) 5:00
Races (all) 7:00

When coming to tech, have your hoods, air cleaners, and air boxes, removed and left in your pit area. Bring a cover of some kind to cover the carb to keep dust and dirt out. Also have your safety equipment available.

Six tire rule is in effect. You may purchase six new tires. You must use four tires you purchase on Saturday for the 2nd practice session, qualifying, and the race. The two tires you do not use on Saturday MUST be used on 5/30 at Baer Field. After the 5/30 event, you will not be allowed to use four new tires at any remaining event.

After the first practice session, officials will come around and mark your practice/qualifying/race tires. Please have these tires ready to go. Time will be of the escense.

Draw for qualifying will also take place when tires are marked.

Please be prompt when called to the scales. The program will move right along and we may get into a time problem. Keep an ear open and be ready to go in a moments notice.
After crossing the scales, NO ADJUSTMENTS may be made to the car except for air pressures.

75 laps. First 40 = yellow flag laps count. Last 35 laps, green flag laps only count. After the race, top five must stop on the frontstretch for Winners Circle ceremonies. You will be instructed where to proceed for post race inspection and what will be checked. Do not go to your pit. Go directly to the tech area. Only 3 crew members (including drivers) allowed in post race tech. Please keep all non-essential crew members, fans, and other bystanders at least 15 feet from the cars.

After the race is completed, return your transponders to the tech truck. Make sure your car # is checked that the transponder was returned. Failure to return your transponder may result in withholding your winnings for the evening.

A drivers meeting and spotters meeting will be called at some point. Make sure you attend...these are MANDATORY. It is urged the spotter also attends the drivers meeting. The spotters meeting will be held immediately after the drivers meeting. Failure to attend your specific meeting may result in penalties.

In Summary:

* Get to the track early...tech opens at 1:00. Six classes.
* Leave hoods, air cleaner, and duct work in your pit during tech inspection.
* Two practice sessions only
* Six tire rule. Tires will be marked after 1st practice session. Tires must be used remainder of program.
* 75 laps. First 40 - yellow flag laps count. Last 35, green flag only count.
* Top 5 stop on frontstretch for Winners Circle Ceremonies. You will then proceed to post race inspection. Only 3 crew members allowed. (including driver)
* Return your transponder to the tech truck. If not returned and checked, you will not be paid your winnings.
