OK boys and girls..."I'm back in the saddle again".

Yes, against some of your wishes, PB is getting stonger everyday, and looking forward to seeing some racing action next year. I'm also looking forward to seeing many of you at the banquet in January.

I've been back to work for just over a month now, attended most of the home Michigan State tailgates (didn't go into the games, but enjoyed the season very much anyway), go to cardiac rehab three nights a week, lost 40 pounds since this time last year (I sure don't recommend doing it the way I did though), and am feeling a little bit stronger every week.

Since Alan didn't have much luck gettting some off season conversation going, I thought I'd throw something out there that may help get things going. By the way Alan, I do like the tracks you listed and the others Al mentioned. Must be deer season has prevented people from posting on here. I don't like vinison, so I don't hunt. But I know others that do.

Anyway...back to the topic. Let's talk about the following:

1. Rules. Are there any rules that you would like to see changed?
Post anything you would like to see changed, added, dropped, or whatever. Tires?, brakes?, shocks?, ignition? Whatever.

2. Proceedures. Anything you would like changed there?

3. Tech / rules enforcement. What would you like to see. More tech or less tech? Explain what you would like to see.

(Try and remember also, the Series does not have a lot of money to spend on expensive equipment. So be thoughtful, yet think cheap!)

I would hope many of you would make a comment or two about the above topics. REMEMBER, THIS IS YOUR SERIES, you do have a say!

As of right now, there are only a couple of minor things that may be adjusted. I do know the Fords will carry extra weight next year. How much do all of you think is fair? I know how much I have inserted into the rule, but I'd like to know what all of you think.

Remember, anything is welcome for discussion. Please though, if someone comes up with an idea you don't like, don't bash them. Explain your feelings, but be nice.

Let's try and get a good discussion going. (Sorry Alan) I want to know what all of you are thinking.

See you at the banquet!

Fords

Postby Fadkemotorsports on Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:30 pm

I dont see any reason for the fords to carry any more weight. I drive a chevy and dont see motor being the problem. I would like to see some sort of weather pack on the msd box so they can be switched from one car to the next. that way it gets rid of all the possibilities of cheater boxs. also I would like to see more tire tec mot sure how they need a stamp or something.

2009 rules

I think adding weight to the Fords is not a good idea. If you invest in "chip blocks" and cable seals (carbs seals) for the MSD boxes. Validate the boxes and if you have any question about bypassing the chip, you inspect ASAP and re-validate the chip after qualifing. This is what we did at Auto City last year. If you mandate the MSD 6aln ignition box, unaltered in the stock condition as it comes from the manufacture, then you can swap boxes between cars. If you get a box that is "altered" then you can impound and fine the driver/owner.
