There was a fire at the Ramada Inn in Angola around 5:00PM today, Friday, Feb 6th. Don't know the extent of the damage, but the hotel and restaurant have been evacuated and the local radio
station is reporting fire, smoke and water damage on both the first and second floors in part of the hotel.

You may want to call the hotel if you have reservations or were planning on staying there for the banquet.

There are Super 8, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express motels about a mile away from the Ramada at I-69 exits 154 or 157.
These motels are listed under Fremont, Indiana.

Thanks for the headsup Bob. I called the hotel, and they said the fire was contained to one room. There was some damage but they were open for business as usual...
